Edgeley is a small hamlet in southern Saskatchewan, in the Qu'Appelle and Fort Qu'Appelle area. In the early days of settlement on this part of the prairies, it was a centre of the Methodist Church of Canada's Qu'Appelle-Edgeley Circuit. That circuit was absorbed into the United Church of Canada in 1925.
The surrounding country was once densely populated, and Edgeley could be reached by road, west of Highway 35, as well as by rail. Some half-dozen grain elevators once stood here, until the major Canadian grain-buying companies rationalised their operations.
Edgeley's importance faded in the early 1960s, when Highway 10 opened from Balgonie through Fort Qu'Appelle and on to the Manitoba border. With that major throughway running right beside it, the hamlet no longer held the place it once had.
